Serving as a Page

West Honeycutt, Abbie Hyche & Jim McClendon
Pages age range is 12 to 21. A legislator can have two pages in a session. Pages work on the House floor, run errands, bring phone messages, make copies, get coffee, bring mail, and attend committee meeting. Parents are not allowed on the House floor, but can watch from the gallery one floor above. Pages have the same dress code as legislators, coat and tie for the guys, dressy for the girls. Pages must be accompanied by an adult, provide their own food and lodging, and typically are in Montgomery for three days and two nights.

Two pages have been selected for the 2008 Session.

If you (and your folks) are interested in you serving as a Page, contact me

The 2008 Regular Session of the Alabama Legislature began on  February 5, 2008.
